The MSG Network announced today that they would be broadcasting live the upcoming Bet365 U.S. Darts Masters, airing inside Hulu Theatre in Madison Square Garden. Hulu Theatre at MSG will be home to the highly anticipated Bet365 US Darts Masters, as well as the Bet365 North America Championships, June 3-4, 2022, which brings to New York players such as the current #1 World Ranking player, Gerwyn Price, and the 2022 world champion, Peter Wright. The World Series of Darts returns to Hulu Theatre at Madison Square Garden in 2023 after a massively successful inaugural event in New York. The World Series of Darts will wrap up Saturday night with the Quarterfinals, semi-finals, and Finals at the Hulu Theatre.
A new, aggressive Premier League darts format will see a mini-tournament consisting of a quarter-final, semi-final and final on each evening, with APS 10,000 prize money for each night’s winner. The fixtures schedule will be confirmed, with defending champions taking part on opening night. Cazoo Premier League Darts, which was initially moved to OVO Hydro until 6th May 2021, is now back in 2022. Following 2020 and 2021 events mainly played behind closed doors, the Live Darts will be returning to fans in 2022 to provide the Premier League’s unique atmosphere.
The PDC calendar for 2022 will feature more than 150 days of Darts action between January and October, including the return of the EuropeanTours’ complete schedule of events and the expanded women’s Series. Following a shuffled 2020 and 2021 campaign, the Senior World Darts Tour will see its 13 events return to continents in 2022.
ST. HELENS Arrows ace Michael Smith won his first Bet365 US Darts Masters title in thrilling style, beating Michael van Gerwen 8-4 in the final in Madison Square Gardens Hulu Theatre. Michael Smith’s world championship victory in his last premiership evening at Newcastle proved to be too much for Michael van Gerwen in the final. The PDC U.S. Darts Masters was, without doubt, their most successful event ever held in the United States, and the crowds that we had in Madison Square Garden — especially Saturday night — were very encouraging about the future of these events. Following on from the success of the PDCs inaugural event at Madison Square Garden, it has been confirmed that the PDC World Series of Darts will be returning to the venue for the U.S. Darts Masters and the North American Championships from June 2-3, 2023. Butlins Minehead resort will be hosting both the British Open and Players Championship finals through to at least late 2023, both Professional Darts Corporation and Butlins confirmed this afternoon.
